Annual Reports: If you did not pick up your copy of the Annual Report last Sunday we have a few extra available in the Church Hall at the meeting. (One per family please).
February 21st, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at Mountain View United Church, 85 MacBeath Ave., 4:30-6:30 p.m. Pancakes, maple syrup, sausages, baked beans,
coleslaw, dessert, tea/coffee. UCW Bake Table.
Adults: $7.00; Children ages 6-12: $3.50; Children under 6: free.
Applications for both Maritime Conference and General Council Youth Forum are available and anybody interested can contact Kari Bryenton for further details.
OBSERVER NOTE: Please be advised that the Observer Envelopes in the box of church envelopes has the wrong price of $15.00, the correct subscription price should be $20.00. Subscriptions/renewals due 30/03/12.
2011 TAX RECEIPTS are now available in the narthex.
Church Envelopes: If you wish to have church envelopes please fill out a pew card, or give the office a call at 857-4817. Par (Pre-Authorized Remittance) brochures are available in the narthex.
Grocery Cards-Co-op, Sobeys & SuperStore available in varying amounts. We now have Co-op Certificates that can be used at their gas bar and at the store. January profit $296.00.
The UCW would like to remind you that boxes have been provided in the narthex for the donation/collection of used stamps, used eye glasses, and pop can tabs. We no longer collect used cards. We appreciate your support.
Session Notes
Volunteer drivers needed to drive people in the congregation to and from church. Sign up sheet is on the table in the narthex. Thank you for helping with the needs of our church.
Need a drive to church? The Session of Mountain View would like to know, please call the office at 857-4817 and leave your name.

*Ryan’s Well, a donation can is on the table in Narthex. We appreciate your commitment to this worthwhile cause to build new wells in Africa to supply clean water to the community.
United Church Upcoming Events
Feb 5th - Covenanting service for Ruth Gamble, DLM; the Northumberland Pastoral Charge; & Chignecto Presbytery will be held at 2:30pm at Sunrise Trinity United Church, 3849 Route 6 in Amherst Head. Take exit 3 at Amherst for Route 6 EAST toward Tatamagouche. The church is just over 20 km (about 20 minutes) from Amherst on Route 6 east. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome.
Feb. 18th - Visions United Pancake Breakfast, 8:00-11:00 a.m. at the former Stilesville Church property, 1270 Gorge Rd., Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries, toast, muffins, tea, coffee & juice all for a free-will offering. Baked goods for sale prepared by members of the UCW.
Feb. 18th - “NEW TO YOU” SALE, 9 a.m.–noon. Find out what can be New For You! Clothing, Footwear, Accessories. For All Ages. St. Paul’s United Church, 404 Cleveland Ave., Riverview.
Feb. 20th - Salisbury United Church Pancake Supper, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Salisbury Lions Club on Peter St. in Salisbury. Enjoy pancakes, homemade baked beans, sausage, rolls, dessert and beverage. Adults $8, child under 12 - $4 or a family $20. Please come and join us!
Feb. 25th – The Message CD Launch Concert, St. Paul’s United Church, 7:30 p.m. Tickets $10.00 and available from the church office or at the door.

Every year on the 22nd of February, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world celebrate World Thinking Day. It’s a day when Girl Guides and Girl Scouts think of each other and give thanks and appreciation for the international friendship they find in our Movement. The theme for World Thinking Day 2012 is “we can save our planet”. Tidewater Area Girl Guides are walking Main St. on February 25th, 2012. They will leave City Hall Moncton at 1 p.m. and end at Highfield Square. |
